QS. 'Abasa [80]
He Frowned
بِسْمِاللّٰهِالرَّحْمٰنِالرَّحِيْمِ
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
عَبَسَوَتَوَلّٰىٓ١
The Prophet frowned and turned away [1]
اَنْجَاۤءَهُالْاَعْمٰى٢
Because there came to him the blind man, [interrupting]. [2]
وَمَايُدْرِيْكَلَعَلَّهٗيَزَّكّٰىٓ٣
But what would make you perceive, [O Muhammad], that perhaps he might be purified [3]
